The opportunity

Our three-day Careers in Construction Programme is designed to give you an introduction to the world of built environment, from development and consultancy, to construction and operations. You’ll gain invaluable knowledge and skills that will help you build a rewarding and successful career.
With exposure to colleagues in business areas across Mace, the programme is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience our business first-hand. You’ll find out what it’s like to work with global experts in a business where innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
During the three days, you’ll:
- Gain valuable work experience
- Receive presentations on our services
- Take part in interactive workshops
- Shadow and learn from some of our current graduates
- Network with senior colleagues
- Take part in personal development sessions so that you feel confident to take the first steps in your career
- Visit the sites of some of our iconic projects, both live and complete, to help you understand how and why we do what we do
- Strengthen your application for one of our apprenticeships
Further details
This programme is open to all year 11 and 12 school or college students with a genuine interest in the built environment / construction industry.
You'll also need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English.
The programme will take place from Monday 10th July – Wednesday 12th July 2023 and will be delivered in person in London, Moorgate (with site visits close by). You must therefore be available for all three days and live reasonably local to this area to take part in the programme.
Lunch will be provided each day, and reasonable travel expenses will be covered.
